Sheringham Gansey Exhibition

Modern knitted textile art from Norfolk artists Christine Grey and Jenny Comper will be on display with the old ganseys.
On Saturday June 7 between 10am-5pm a free Yarn Market will be held in the Oddfellows Hall. It will include wool craft demonstrations and stalls where people will be able to buy wool, knitted items, patterns and kits.
Saturday June 14 between 10am-4pm People will be Knitting herrings on the Prom as part of World Knit in Public Day.
Youngsters will be able to take part in a children’s drop-in knitting session during the August school holiday for £2 per child
On the weekend of September 6th and 7th there will be a Gansey Knitting Symposium where experts will discuss the history of gansey making in Britain and abroad.
Tickets for the two-day event cost £20. One day tickets are available on request. Booking is required.
