Knitting & Gardening

Knitting has taken a bit of a back seat today. My Mother’s Day present was a bird box, so, I have been looking for a suitable place for it and found one on the back of the shed. I had been meaning to move the water butt from there for years and thought perhaps I had better do it today so I don’t disturb any potential nestlings. But, silly me, the butt is full of water at this time of year, so I had to empty it into various buckets and trugs first before I could move it. A 15 minute job took over an hour! But it’s all done now and the nest box is in place. Just need a few occupants now.
I’ve managed 8 rows of knitting too,with laceweight, so all in all, quite a productive day.
